Liverpool has been linked with two new names as the winter transfer window approaches, we take a look at who is being connected with a move to Anfield.
The winter transfer window still hasn’t opened yet, but Liverpool continues to be linked with players.
Jürgen Klopp will likely be linked to another raft of stars between now and January, and through to the summer. Here at Liverpool.com, we take a look at some of the fresh links that have cropped up recently and give you the lowdown on them.
Yunus Musah
The Valencia midfielder impressed during the USMNT’s short-lived run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Whether as a result of that or not, it seems big clubs have been sitting up and taking notice, with Liverpool among those to have reportedly registered interest in a transfer with the player’s agent.
In an effort to block moves from Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, the Spanish side are prepared to offer Musah a new contract. His current deal has a release clause of €100m (£86m/$105m).

Randal Kolo MuaniThe
other new name to be linked with Liverpool is also present at the World Cup, although he nearly wasn’t. Randal Kolo Muani was drafted in following the late injury to Christopher Nkunku.
Granted the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 loss to Tunisia in France’s final group stage game, this is his only appearance in Qatar so far. However, he is the first name on the team sheet for Frankfurt, where he has already recorded five goals and 10 assists in the Bundesliga this season.
Liverpool are ‘seduced’ by his versatile qualities, and are ‘very interested’ in recruiting him, as too are Spurs. Frankfurt are not expected to listen to offers below €60m (£52m/$63m).
