Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Liverpool midfielder Arthur Melo could be back in action by the end of January.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Arthur will return to training at the end of December.
If everything goes well, then the £126,000-a-week Brazil international midfielder (SalarySport) could be back playing for Jurgen Klopp’s side by the end of January.
Romano has added that the Liverpool staff do not want to rush the Brazilian star and want him to be 100% ready before he resumes playing.
The 26-year-old joined former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Liverpool from Italian giants Juventus on loan in the summer of 2022.
The midfielder has had injury and fitness problems at Liverpool and has played only 13 minutes in the UEFA Champions League for the Reds so far this season.
Liverpool are not having the best of times in the Premier League at the moment, and if Arthur is back playing from end of January, then it will enhance the Reds’ chances of finishing in the top four and also winning the UEFA Champions League.
Arthur may not have had the best of times at Juventus, but you do not get to play for the Bianconeri and for Barcelona if you are not a good player.
