Liverpool are very confident about signing Jude Bellingham.
At least, that’s the claim made by journalist Dean Jones.
Bellingham is heavily linked with a transfer to Liverpool and it’s been reported a lot in recent weeks that Jurgen Klopp’s side are favourites, as covered by HITC Sport.
However, there are complications to consider.
Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked, both of which have the resources to spend the nine figures needed to prise him from Borussia Dortmund.
But according to Jones, speaking to Give Me Sport, Liverpool genuinely fancy their chances.
He said: “Man City might consider themselves with the greatest chance of signing him right now in their eyes, but Liverpool believe that they should have a great chance, too, and that they just have to go all out and put in front of him why they think he should join Liverpool.”
Bellingham to Liverpool would be an absolute gamechanger and, honestly, they need him.
The 19-year-old, labelled ‘astonishing‘ by Jordan Pickford, is probably the world’s most exciting teenager.
And with Klopp needing a drastic overhaul of midfield options, well signing him definitely makes sense.
Problem is, as mentioned, there’s a number of extremely wealthy outfits also in the race to sign Bellingham – who earns £49,000 per week – and it’ll be fascinating to see how winds up getting him.
