Liverpool could look to sign Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and the player could well be open to the switch, according to reports.

GiveMeSport quotes journalist Pete O’Rourke in discussing the potential of a move to Liverpool for Caicedo.

As we already know, Caicedo is high on the watch list of a number of big clubs, with Liverpool among them. West Ham, too, are also known to be keen on signing the Ecuadorian ace.

And speaking to GMS, journalist O’Rourke believes if the money is right for Brighton, then Liverpool are a club Caicedo will consider joining.

It’d be a big fee if Brighton were to consider selling him in January. I’m sure if Liverpool and Chelsea do firm up their interest in Caicedo, it’s a move that maybe the player will be interested in, but it would have to be on Brighton’s terms,” O’Rourke told GiveMeSport.

The Daily Mail has reported that Brighton see Caicedo as being worth at least £60m as things stand. Of course, the January window can change all that, as could another successful six months or so with the Seagulls.

Lauded as being ‘magnificent‘ for his performances with Brighton, Caicedo could well be a Jude Bellingham alternative for the Reds.

TBR’s View: Caicedo still an option for Liverpool

While all Reds fans will want Jude Bellingham through the door, Moises Caicedo remains a very viable alternative option for the club.

Caicedo has been in fine form for the Seagulls and with Alexis McAllister, Brighton very much have a midfield that will be the envy of many a Premier League side.

Sure, £60m is steep for Liverpool. But if they go to over £100m and miss out on Bellingham, then they’ll have to go for the next best thing. Caicedo, then, is among the cluster of players who the club will consider in that bracket.
