Enzo Fernandez has dropped a pretty big hint on Instagram amid Liverpool rumors

Well, the speculation about Enzo Fernandez to Liverpool might finally stop.

In December, Record in Portugal reported that the Benfica midfielder had an agreement to join Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Of course, Fernandez would go on to help Argentina win the World Cup in Qatar, further fuelling speculation about a transfer to Liverpool.

And then Chelsea came on board but according to journalist Ben Jacobs, the West Londoners didn’t offer anywhere near as much as they had promised.

Last night, HITC Sport wrote about how Chelsea’s problems with Benfica could hand Liverpool a unique advantage to trigger his £106 million release clause.

But going by his latest Instagram post, the player is going nowhere.

Fernandez scored for the Portuguese outfit this week and here’s how he reacted to the goal on Instagram, writing: “A great win by every team and grading conquered! Let’s go Benfica! Please help me to learn more about this. Happy to get back to scoring.”

Basing an opinion on that and Fernandez most definitely isn’t speaking like a man who knows he could leave the club within weeks.

Instead, the reported Liverpool target seems to know, for a fact, that he’s going to be at Benfica for a little while longer.

And therefore it looks very improbable that Klopp – or anyone – will be signing him in January.
