Manchester United star Facundo Pellistri will be allowed to leave on loan next season, according to a fresh report.

Pellistri joined United in 2020 under former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having been tipped off about his talent by ex-striker Diego Forlan.

However, he has had to be patiently await first-team opportunities. The 21-year-old has not made a single start for United in his entire career.

His only two first-team starts of the campaign have come for Uruguay in the World Cup.

However, the winger has come off the bench six times since the New Year and has had a notable impact in almost every appearance.

Indeed, against Real Betis in particular, Pellistri impressed the Old Trafford faithful, playing a crucial part in setting up Wout Weghorst’s goal.

Yet, despite his upturn in performances, it appears Erik ten Hag will allow the youngster to leave on loan next term.

Pellistri to leave on loan

According to the Manchester Evening News, United is planning to let Pellistri and Anthony Elanga head out on loan next season.

The club is allegedly reluctant to sell Pellistri less than three years into his Old Trafford career, and any loan move would likely determine whether he has a long-term future at the club.

Pellistri joined United for £ 9 million from Penarol in October 2020 and has since been loaned out to Alaves twice. Indeed, he spent the entirety of last season playing in La Liga but started only six times.

If a loan move is sanctioned, however, Pellistri would be leaving just as his Man Utd career was gathering momentum.

Indeed, center-back Varane said United needed players like Pellistri and teenage winger Alejandro Garnacho in the squad.

Speaking after United’s goalless draw against Southampton, the Frenchman said: “I think they have great talent, you saw it today,

“They can bring speed on the pitch, they can create opportunities, create danger. We need these kinds of players to make a difference and change games.”

Liverpool

Man Utd, Liverpool, and Arsenal are set to battle it out for £17m player, with SIX Premier League clubs interested.

Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal are among six clubs interested in signing a highly-rated midfielder this summer.

The Red Devils are already planning for future transfer windows and want to add to their midfield this summer by signing a Premier League talent.

However, they face competition from rivals Liverpool and Arsenal as well as three other English clubs for his signature.

Joao Palinha joined West London club Fulham from Sporting Lisbon last year for £17m but his impressive performance this season has seen his value rocket.

According to The Sun, United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Tottenham, all want to sign the Portuguese player but his boss Marco Silva is determined to resist any bids.

He’s been a key part of Fulham’s success this term as they continue to push to qualify for Europe in their first season back in the top flight.

It will cost a lot.

It’s not surprising that six big clubs are all interested in prizing Paulinha away from Fulham. At 27 years old he’s in his prime and will only get better over the next few seasons.

With the majority of the clubs interested locked in a battle to finish in the top four the outcome of this campaign will go a long way in influencing where Paulinha could move to.

If a club playing Champions League football shows interest in him then he might be convinced to leave but if Fulham qualifies for Europe themselves then he could stay.

Either way, The Cottagers won’t give up easily and would demand a fee over £40m for his services given he’s contracted until at least 2027.

He may not be the first choice for many clubs but he’s a serious option and if he continues to perform between now and the end of the season clubs are going to show even more interest.
