Former Premier League player and radio host Gabby Agbonlahor has this opinion, claiming that Mane and the Reds have both failed since their split at the conclusion of the 2021–22 season.

Bayern Munich fired coach Julian Nagelsmann last week and brought in Thomas Tuchel in an unexpected decision, despite the fact that they had only lost three games all season. Mane was reportedly in favor of firing the coach despite having brought him to Munich from Anfield in a record £27.4 million deal, according to sources. The German giants’ team is said to have been divided over whether their former coach should be given the boot.

This season, Mane has made 30 appearances for Bayern and has scored 12 goals across all competitions. But he has not experienced the hero-like reputation that was bestowed upon him in Merseyside, where he established a trophy-winning attacking trio with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino that won nearly all of the major awards on the table.

Mane was a top-tier athlete, according to Agbonlahor, who discussed him on talkSPORT. Injuries have prevented him from succeeding at Bayern Munich. But, he was exceptional for Liverpool. Since his departure, Liverpool has changed dramatically.

Despite bringing in Darwin Nunez from Benfica and Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven after the African star’s departure, the Reds have been unable to match Mane’s contributions since his departure. Mane was instrumental in helping Klopp win the Carabao and FA Cups last season, as well as come within two games of winning the Premier League and Champions League crowns. It was a magnificent final campaign for Klopp.
