After a disappointing season on Merseyside, Liverpool are said to be open to offers for academy winger Mateusz Musialowski this summer.

Musialowski joined the Reds from SMS Lodz in 2020 after reportedly scoring 130 goals in only 80 games at youth level, and after seeing the Polish star play, many Liverpool fans became very excited about the player’s prospects, but things have not gone as planned since.

The 19-year-old, who was dubbed the ‘Polish Messi’ upon his arrival, had a difficult season last season. Musialowski made just eight starts in Premier League 2 as Ben Doak and Harvey Blair advanced in the attacking pecking order.

According to Football Insider, the 19-year-old is attracting interest from a number of clubs in Poland and elsewhere, and Liverpool will not stand in his way if an acceptable bid is received.

It would be a shame for Liverpool if this happened because the youngster clearly has a lot of talent. The emergence of Ben Doak over the last 12 months, on the other hand, has been very exciting for the Merseyside club and appears to have obstructed Musialowski’s path to the first team.

It’s unclear where the 19-year-old will end up before the new season, as his parents are now said to be in charge of his career.
