Sadio Mané linked with Saudi Arabia move
Sadio Mané is the subject of interest from a number of clubs in Saudi Arabia, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The former Liverpool star has been heavily linked with a move away from Bayern Munich after just one season, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Bundesliga champion could be willing to listen to offers. Al-Ahli is said to be among the clubs interested in signing Mané as they look to reunite him with Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool.com says: It feels like a lot adds up for Mané to make the move to the Middle East this summer. He seems to have fallen out of favor at Bayern, and one way or another, it seems as though he might be on his way out.
The Saudi Pro League seems to be the hotspot now for players reaching the twilight years of their careers, so it may well come down to whether or not Mané agrees to the move.
Three clubs named in Kylian Mbappé transfer race
Manchester City and Newcastle have been named as two of the clubs capable of signing Kylian Mbappé, although Liverpool hasn’t been mentioned by football agent Bruno Satin.
PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has given Mbappé an ultimatum to decide on his future in the next two weeks, with the French club adamant he won’t be allowed to leave for free next year despite the 24-year-old indicating he won’t sign a contract extension.
Speaking to L’Équipe, Satin said: “In my opinion, only Manchester City, Newcastle and Real Madrid can pay today. For me, the real price is between $109m (£85m/€100m) and $166m (£130m/€152m), after which there can be bonuses to go up to $217m (£170m/€200m) or almost.”
Liverpool.com says: Deep down, we all know it’s next to impossible for Liverpool to sign Mbappé this summer, although you can’t blame fans for dreaming!
Manchester City and Real Madrid were always going to be in the reckoning, but seeing Newcastle thrown in the mix serves as a reminder of its new financial pulling power, and having secured Champions League football ahead of Liverpool, the Magpies are going to feature in more and more big deals.
