Liverpool are hunting for new midfielders as we all know but one man who won’t now be signing is USA international, Yunus Musah.
Musah is among a cluster of midfielders who have been mentioned this summer with regards to the Reds. Reports back in June had claimed that Musah was one of the players Liverpool were scouting.
After starring for Valencia and the USA in the last 12 months, Musah’s stock is high.
And it seems that while Liverpool have cast their eye over the young midfielder, he is now set for a move to Serie A with AC Milan instead.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano anyway, who has claimed via his Twitter account today that Musah is set to have a medical in Milan next week after Valencia reached ‘verbal agreement’ with Milan over the transfer.
Musah, who has been described as a ‘spectacular‘ midfield player, has been linked with a number of clubs in England.
As well as Liverpool, Musah has been tracked by both West Ham and Arsenal.
However, it seems he’s now going to wind up in Serie A as Milan once again look to strengthen their ranks.
RTK’s View: We move on
There’s a lot to like about Yunus Musah. In fact, in terms of players who suit how Klopp likes to play, he ticks a lot of boxes.
That’s probably why the Reds scouted him in the first place in all honesty. But obviously, there was something missing and Liverpool have moved on to other targets.
Milan is a good move for Musah. A big club, and a chance to really shine.
For the Reds, well, we simply move on. Musah isn’t the first and won’t be the last name linked this summer.
