Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could reportedly make a bid for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone.

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk in Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing, Borussia Monchengladbach thinks that Liverpool is going to bid for Manu Kone.

Falk believes that Liverpool could be able to sign the 22-year-old French midfielder for £30 million.

The reporter has noted that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on Kone, who has been on the books of German club Monchengladbach since 2021.

Falk wrote, as relayed by RTK: “With [another target, Ryan] Gravenberch, they know what they’d be getting, though there’s also Manu Kone to consider. I heard Gladbach is also expecting an offer from Liverpool soon because, after his injury, he’s become cheaper.

“Before a suitor would have to pay about €50m [£43m], now you can get him, perhaps, for about €35m [£30m].

“So it’s up to Liverpool to make the next move. Bayern and Gladbach will be open to talks.

“PSG are still interested in Kone, so there could be a big competition for the player if Liverpool firmly enter the race.”

Liverpool need to act fast to sign Manu Kone

We believe that Liverpool need to act fast to get a deal done for Manu Kone, who was described as “a phenomenal player” by former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer on The Football Show on Sky Sports (12/04/23 at 11:50 am) in April 2023.

After all, the summer transfer window will close in a matter of days.

There is simply not much time left for Liverpool.

If the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are determined to bring Kone to Anfield this month, then they have to make a bid soon.

There is no point in delaying.

Kone scored one goal and gave one assist in 30 Bundesliga appearances for Monchengladbach last season.
