Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has raved about Liverpool attacking midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.
The former Arsenal star has written in The Daily Star that he has been hugely impressed by how well Dominik Szoboszlai has played for Liverpool so far this season.
Merson has noted that Szoboszlai works extremely hard and does not moan about anything.
The 22-year-old Hungary international midfielder joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.
The Liverpool no. 8 has made three appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
Praise for Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai
Merson wrote: “I’m a massive fan of Dominik Szoboszlai.
“He covered every blade of grass when Liverpool were under the cosh last weekend against Newcastle United.
“He is full of energy, gets up and down the pitch, doesn’t moan about anything and is the kind of player any manager needs.
“He has been their best midfield player so far this season.”
Szoboszlai did extremely well during his time at RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig, and we were not surprised when Liverpool signed him in the summer transfer window.
The midfielder is only 22 now, but he has already been a regular at club football for a number of years now and has also played 32 times for Hungary.
The youngster made 28 starts and three substitute appearances in the Bundesliga last season.
Szoboszlai scored six goals and gave eight assists in those matches.
The midfielder also scored one goal and provided two assists in eight UEFA Champions League matches for RB Leipzig last season.
Szoboszlai has a lot of experience already, and under manager Jurgen Klopp, he is only going to get better and add more facets to his game.
