Henderson makes Salah Saudi transfer claim
Jordan Henderson has backed Mohamed Salah to make a big impact if he joins the former Liverpool captain in Saudi Arabia.
The Egyptian was the subject of an £150m verbal bid from Al-Ittihad last week, which was rejected by the Reds. Henderson called time on his Anfield career earlier this summer as he completed a controversial £12m switch to Saudi side Al-Ettifaq. And while he has briefly spoken to his former team-mate, they haven’t discussed Salah’s own future.
“I haven’t spoken to him about the situation,” he told the Athletic. “Obviously I spoke to him briefly over the past week or two in terms of he was asking if I was okay, everything was all right, how I’m settling in, the normal sort of stuff. I’ve sort of left him with this.”
