Nunez injury scare
Liverpool have been given reasons to be fearful over the fitness of Darwin Nunez after comments from Uruguay boss Marcelo Bielsa. The striker played in both of his country’s World Cup qualifiers during the international break, but only managed 45 minutes in the defeat against Ecuador.

“It seemed convenient to me to substitute him because he couldn’t keep up with the game when we had to press,” Bielsa said. The former Leeds boss made reference to “muscular difficulties” for the 24-year-old.
Nunez has yet to complete a full 90 minutes this season. He came off the bench in Liverpool’s first three games of the season, and played 65 minutes after starting the victory over Aston Villa.
