Liverpool are reportedly preparing for life without Mohamed Salah, with the Reds expecting to sell the winger next year.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Anfield side are making plans for to replace the 31-year-old, with Liverpool unlikely to reject a £100m+ offer from Saudi Arabia in 2024.

Signed for £34m in 2017, Salah is easily Liverpool’s best attacker in the Premier League era and a player who has defined an entire generation at the club having led Jurgen Klopp’s side to unchallenged heights.

Yet amid interest from Saudi Arabia, Salah is now expected to be moved on if a mega-money offer is once again made, with Liverpool this summer batting away bids worth a rumoured £150m.

With Salah’s contract expiring in 2025, Liverpool are now fully preparing for life without their superstar forward, with plans now taking place on who could replace the winger.

However, whilst Liverpool preparing for the attacker’s departure will break supporter’s hearts, the Reds putting plans into motion could be a good thing heading into next year.

Liverpool need to be as prepared as possible for Salah to leave.

Liverpool are often one of the most organised Premier League clubs in regards to transfers, and the Reds having a plan now to replace Salah should be a small source of encouragement for fans.

The attacker will be a near-impossible player to replace, though preparation can lead to incredible results, and Liverpool might manage that with Salah in 2024.

Indeed, the Egyptian will be hard to succeed, but with Liverpool’s scouting network as big and deep as it is, the Reds have the tools to find someone who could actually replace the 31-year-old.
