SAD NEWS; LIVERPOOL STAR set for Premier League suspension after Liverpool booking

Alexis Mac Allister will miss Liverpool’s next Premier League game through suspension

Alexis Mac Allister will miss Liverpool’s Premier League against Brentford after picking up a booking against Luton Town.

Mac Allister, who joined the Reds from Brighton & Hove Albion in a £35m deal in June, was booked in the second half of Sunday’s Premier League clash at Kenilworth Road for a late challenge on Andros Townsend.

Liverpool news

As per Premier League rules, Mac Allister, who had already accumulated four yellow cards before Sunday’s game, will now serve a one-match suspension as a result of his fifth booking of the season in Liverpool’s next Premier League against Brentford next Sunday.

It means Mac Allister, who has started all 11 of Liverpool’s Premier League games this season, will next be available for the Reds’ visit to Manchester City on November 25.

The 24-year-old will be the fourth Liverpool player to serve a Premier League suspension this season after Virgil van Dijk, Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota all received red cards.

Mac Allister, however, will be available for Thursday’s Europa League tie against Toulouse.
