‘My goodness’…Roy Keane has just shared his prediction for Arsenal v Liverpool live on air

Roy Keane has been speaking about Liverpool against Arsenal today and believes Jurgen Klopp’s side can send a massive message by winning.

The former Manchester United midfielder is among the pundits watching on as Liverpool travel to The Emirates for one of the biggest games of the season so far.

A win for Liverpool would send them eight points clear of the Gunners and effectively put Mikel Arteta’s side out of the running.

And Keane, speaking about whether this is a must-win game for Arsenal, believes that an even bigger message would be sent out if Liverpool snatched it.

Roy Keane makes bold assessment ahead of Arsenal v Liverpool

Speaking live on Sky before the game this afternoon, Keane conceded that should Liverpool win, then it would be huge for the entire league.

“Yeah I think so [a chance to knock Arsenal out of the title race]. I think obviously Liverpool are in great form, a lot energy scoring a lot of goals, and we talk about Klopp leaving but I don’t think that’s had any sort of effect on the team so far. I’m a bit wary when people talk about, from Arsenal’s point of view, it’s a must-win game. It’s certainly a game they can’t afford to lose. But if you look at Liverpool and Liverpool come and win today, my goodness, it’s another big statement from them. Tough one to call,” Keane said.

Arsenal have to win

Liverpool would probably take a draw and go back to Anfield but having won at The Emirates recently, they’ll be confident of taking all three points.

Keane says here it’s about not losing for Arsenal but if that’s the case then they are still behind in the race and with Man City likely to win tomorrow, the Gunners are climbing a mountain again.

Arsenal, then, simply have to take all three points here or they can consider themselves outsiders for the title.

Liverpool, of course, will pull clear with a win and as Keane says, it sends a huge statement to the rest of the league.
