Roy Keane is a big fan of Jurgen Klopp’s ‘no bull’ interviews after Liverpool defeat to Arsenal

Roy Keane was full of praise for Jurgen Klopp after his post-match interview at Liverpool’s Premier League defeat to Arsenal.

The Reds saw the gap between them and the Gunners reduce to two points at the top of the table as they lost 3-1 in north London.

Defensive chaos from Liverpool, that Virgil van Dijk took responsibility for, allowed Gabriel Martinelli to score an open goal and guide Arsenal towards a crucial victory.

Speaking after the game, Klopp admitted that Arsenal deserved the win and his side lacked the finishes needed to secure a result.

And Keane was more than pleased with what he heard as Liverpool look to respond to the setback to their title hopes.

“I loved the interview, I think he is very honest Klopp,” the Manchester United legend said on Sky Sports.

“I think he’s been calm there. He’s obviously got vast experience, he knows over the course of the season you have your ups and downs. For most of the season for Liverpool it’s been up so I get the balance right, I thought his piece was spot on.

Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the lead but Liverpool drew level just before half-time courtesy of Gabriel’s calamitous own goal.

Martinelli then took advantage of Van Dijk and Alisson’s mistake before Leandro Trossard scored late on to seal the Gunners’ win.

Liverpool’s last league defeat came at the hands of Tottenham in September, with ten victories coming since then.

Whilst Sunday’s result will be a bitter pill to swallow, they remain top of the league and are firmly in this season’s title race.
