Predicted Liverpool lineup for the match against Man City

As Liverpool prepares to host Manchester City in a pivotal Premier League showdown on Sunday, Jurgen Klopp faces the tempting decision of whether to include Mo Salah in the starting lineup, with doubts lingering over the Egyptian’s readiness.

The Reds enter the weekend atop the league table and riding a wave of seven consecutive victories across all competitions, the latest being a resounding 5-1 triumph over Sparta Prague. However, this encounter shapes up to be arguably the season’s most significant match, as Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City visits Anfield with aspirations of seizing the top spot.4

Liverpool and Man City battled to a 1-1 draw at the Etihad earlier in the campaign, with Trent Alexander-Arnold netting a spectacular equalizer, but injuries have plagued Klopp’s squad ever since. As Klopp ponders his lineup against the title rivals, two major questions loom: the fitness of Ibrahima Konate and Mo Salah’s availability to start.

With Konate’s status uncertain pending a scan, the French defender remains doubtful, though there remains hope that the examination reveals no significant damage. Salah, on the other hand, only managed 16 minutes in his return against Sparta Prague.

Assuming both are fit to start, Liverpool’s potential lineup could see Konate partnering Virgil van Dijk in defense, flanked by Conor Bradley and Andy Robertson. In midfield, Dominik Szoboszlai could feature alongside Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister, with Salah occupying the right wing, complemented by Luis Diaz on the left and Darwin Nunez leading the attack.
