Jurgen Klopp speaks after the last minute loss against Manchester United

After the match, Jurgen Klopp speaks to the press. He said: “Not a great start from us. A very good start from United. Then we started controlling the game and played an exceptional game from moment on for long long time in the first half. Getting out at half time playing the game we wanted to play, causing them massive problems. Should have scored more and finished off the game. Didn’t. Too open. They used it last second of normal time and extra time. That’s how it is.”

“Congratulations to Man Utd. They deserved to go through. The fought really hard. My boys did as well. I cannot blame anybody. The boys gave absolutely everything, that’s how the dressing room looks. That’s how it should be in a quarter final of an FA Cup.”

“The boys go off on international duty. Let’s hope they come back healthy and let’s see what we can do for the rest of the season.”

“The world is not like that we can show different schedules or whatever. We should be able to finish off situations in the second half absolutely, we know that.”

“I am really proud of what I saw and the effort we put in. Great atmosphere, our people created it in a sensational way. I loved too much about it but the result obviously, the opposite of what we wanted.”

“I liked a lot of what I saw to be honest but in the end United were probably fresher than us and it is a home game.”
