What Jurgen Klopp told his Liverpool players after full time against Manchester United today

In the end Liverpool only had themselves to blame. Jurgen Klopp’s men dominated much of the 90 minutes against Manchester United.

The Reds had plenty of opportunities to extend their lead. Including having a counter attack with five men up against three Manchester United defenders. But they scuffed their chances and just couldn’t make the right decisions in the final third.

You always had a feeling it might come back to bite Liverpool. In the end, it did through the most unlikely source. Antony has only scored one goal for Manchester United this season. But he doubled his tally with a late equaliser to take the game into extra time much to the delight of the Old Trafford crowd. Much to the dismay of Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp.

After the final whistle blew, Klopp and his team gathered in a huddle, where he was spotted giving instructions to his players. Including telling them something very important according to one journalist.

What Jurgen Klopp told his players after 90 minutes vs Man Utd

According to Liverpool ECHO journalist Theo Squires as Jurgen Klopp gave animated instructions to his players after the full time whistle, he instructed them to calm down.

It’s no surprise Klopp tried to get his players to calm down. The crowd had awakened at Old Trafford and his team looked a little agitated and frustrated after conceding the equalising goal.

Not to mention this is still a young team, with not that much experience in this kind of knock-out game. Klopp’s words clearly worked a treat with Liverpool coming out a much better side in the first half of the added time break and handing United’s pressure really well.
