Latest Liverpool news as the Reds prepare to face Sheffield United in the Premier League but there is a fitness concern around Wataru Endo for the fixture at Anfield

Liverpool will hope to welcome back at least one player from injury for tonight’s match against Sheffield United.

The Reds take on the Blades at Anfield in the Premier League as they continue their quest to beat Manchester City and Arsenal to the league title. Liverpool have nine more fixtures to try and win what would be the 20th league title in the club’s history and the second in the Jurgen Klopp era.

Tonight’s game sees Liverpool looking to secure another three points after the win over Brighton at the weekend. This week will see the Reds have two more top-flight matches, with an away trip to Manchester United following tonight’s match against Sheffield United.

Klopp confirmed in his Friday press conference that Curtis Jones was in contention to return to the squad. Jones has been recovering from an ankle injury he sustained on February 17 against Brentford, but it remains to be seen how many minutes Klopp will give the midfielder against the Blades.

Andy Robertson is also expected to return to the squad after recovering from an ankle injury. The left-back missed the win over Brighton with the injury that he suffered while on international duty with Scotland, but is in contention to be part of the matchday squad this evening.

However, Klopp also stated that Wataru Endo is a doubt for the game. The Liverpool boss revealed that Endo picked up a knock during the win over Brighton, with a late decision needing to be made over whether the midfielder will be available.

Below is the full Liverpool squad expected to be available to face Sheffield United, barring any late injury or fitness issues:

Goalkeepers: Caoimhin Kelleher, Fabian Mrozek, Adrian.

Defenders: Andy Robertson, Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Jarell Quansah, Kostas Tsimikas.

Midfielders: Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch, Harvey Elliott, Bobby Clark, James McConnell.

Forwards: Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Jayden Danns.

Unavailable: Joel Matip, Wataru Endo, Alisson Becker, Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago Alcantara, Ben Doak.
