Darwin Nunez has not been included in Liverpool’s matchday squad against Wolves as Diogo Jota replaces him in the starting lineup.

Reds boss Arne Slot made one change in the lineup that started in the 3-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend in the Premier League. Jota has made a comeback into the starting XI while Nunez misses out on the matchday squad that will face Wolves on Saturday.

THE EXPLANATION
Right after announcing their starting lineup on X, Liverpool confirmed that Nunez has been ruled out of the clash due to illness. The Uruguayan forward, who was handed his first Premier League start of the 2024-25 season against the Cherries, has appeared in six matches across all competitions thus far and managed to score just once.
