Liverpool firmly turned down a substantial verbal offer, potentially amounting to £150 million, for Mohamed Salah last week. The club’s stance is resolute: Salah is not available for transfer at any price.

Reports from August 25 hinted that while Salah was willing to consider Ittihad’s offer, he maintained a respectful approach to Liverpool and its supporters, allowing the club to determine his future during the summer transfer window.

The latest update is clear: Mohamed Salah is content with life at Liverpool. Mo Salah will stay at Liverpool, Al Ittihad saga is over this summer.

Liverpool: The best player in the world is open to joining Klopp next year

Liverpool had a good summer transfer window and an even better start to the season. Although they were on a tight budget, the board did well to recruit in the right areas and avoided losing their best players. Touch wood, Saudi Arabia leaves Mohamed Salah alone.

However, the rumours which link Salah away should come as a reality check to Liverpool. Even if they don’t lose Salah now, the time is near. He isn’t getting any younger and clubs aren’t going to leave him alone in January or next summer. Therefore, Klopp must have his logical cap on and consider his replacements.

To replace Mohamed Salah, you have to consider only the best of the best. There isn’t time to be frugal or cheap with the replacements, you have to fill those big boots with even bigger boots for the sake of the football club.

French forward Kylian Mbappe is open to playing for Liverpool

Liverpool

According to a new report from French outlet L’Equipe, the best player in the world right now, Kylian Mbappe, is open to a move to Liverpool next summer. The report comes from the inevitability of Mbappe leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024 and looking for a new club.

Certainly, Mbappe would be a great replacement for Salah. While Liverpool fans might not think it’s possible, he would actually be an upgrade. There are obviously the question marks around Mbappe not being proven in the Premier League, but I see this as a myth. As the best player in the world, you are obviously going to perform in the Premier League.

Liverpool should certainly shoot big with this one. While the transfer strategy of signing smaller players and making them big has worked, it’s important that they sign proven quality and ageing at 24 years old, Mbappe could certainly bring his best years to Anfield Stadium. Imagine.
